March to the Holy Land - Part 8

 

 Arrogance is the mistake

Knowledge is taken away from the ummah by the passing of the scholars. The masses have been further dumbed down by their education and their inclination to the tools of satan. The debate here will not be about technology itself but by its application. Added to this is the weakness of belief of Muslims. It is all interrelated. Thus, it is for you to understand that this conflict between Iran and Israel has little, if any impact on Muslims, as a whole, and Islam. Except, of course, as mentioned, if a spark from a downed missile lands in Muslims lands. Therein lies the danger for everybody.

It may be that it should not be seen as a danger for Muslims, but as a blessing. Your faith will speak much to it. Regime change in Iran, or not, has little immediate meaning for us. The greater plan of the Zionists is set to come into play. Many believe the Zionists are arrogant enough to allow the war to spill over to include the entire Middle East. This may be the case, since they are/were preparing for the antichrist, the false messiah. In understanding the ahadith on end times, the signs of the hour, then the malhama happens before then, i.e. the coming of ad-Dajjal. His advent is the start of a most difficult period. Is this, his appearance, the reason for the Zionist arrogance? Time will tell. However, irrespective of the imminent coming of ad-Dajjal or not, their arrogance cannot be disputed.

The need for humanitarian aid into Gaza is of absolute great importance. The march to Rafah to highlight this point is necessary. Obstacles and blockades are placed even in the way of this peaceful protest from people who embarked on it from all over the world. It is naïve to think that this momentum will die down. And if it does not die down, but escalates, then the least of the casualties will be the leaders and rulers of these lands. One, therefore, hopes for a peaceful and humanitarian solution. Anything short of that, will have unnecessary consequences. I am not keen to live at the time of Ad-Dajjal, and perhaps I won’t, but the current situation seems dire. Perhaps, Allah will bring about a solution in the apparent quiet of the night with the prayer of the oppressed being key. You are reminded of your focus.

Israel will not be able to fire all these missiles and drop all these bombs were it not for America and its allies who, for the least part, are the suppliers. Thus, consider that any war will be protracted as long as Iran have not capitulated. There is little reason to rejoice either way. Quds must be liberated. But who will? If ever there is a bomb to be dropped, it is this one: The Shi’a have no interest in Masjid-ul-Aqsa and do not consider it sacred. The march to the Holy lands will happen. The question is whether it will be led by the Mahdi or will Muslims be strong enough to do so before then. Allah knows the timeline best. Our efforts are to strive by planting seeds that will sprout, starting with our families. Educate yourself for His sake. Ready yourself.

March to the Holy Land - Part 7

 

End Goal

The march to the Holy Lands is something that will happen. The convoy and march to Rafah is not the ultimate march. Jerusalem and Aqsa will be liberated as Sayyidina Umar (Allah be pleased with him) and a second time under the leadership of Sultan Salahuddin. However, the distraction currently is the confrontation between Israel and Iran. At this moment in time, the peaceful humanitarian minded march is being impeded in Egypt. There is tension. No one can afford a mistake, least of all the tyrants and their lackeys.

One mistake is a spark from this “conflict” between Israel and Iran landing in between these two countries. Flames will erupt from this spark. The truth of it all is somewhere in the middle. The question for you is “what is your focus?” and is it the right focus. The strikes on Gaza continue unabated claiming multiple lives with each hit. Jordan, that minute little kingdom, which is like a province of Israel, is apparently intercepting the Iranian missiles intended for Israel. Jordan can, of course, protect its airspace. The focus! Is it that Israel banned all worshippers from Aqsa and were prevented from attending the Jumu’ah (Friday congregational prayer)? Will Gaza disappear while a “war” is waged on the grounds or Iran’s nuclear capability? Is the USA and Donald Trump not the main protagonist of discussions and deals with Iran? Yeah, each line has a different emphasis as if it is to confuse you.

 

The task at hand is huge and tough. Focus is required. The end goal understood. Reflect on your contribution. And if you understand the end goal and what the focus ought to be, perhaps you will be firm in your contribution. A simple example is that a small sacrifice is to boycott a famous beverage. Of course, it may not be possible to boycott everything, but surely you can do luxuries. Some have spent money traveling to Egypt to march towards Rafah. That is a sacrifice. How do you not know about it? Is the sad reality that you have not partaken in a chat group or some other type of grouping where real issues are discussed? At least important issues can be highlighted. It appears that there is a serious amount of work to be done to educate people. However, to educate people, there should also be the willingness to be educated. Aqsa has been closed. Is Aqsa under threat during the Israel-Iran conflict? 

The real end goal is to meet Allah with a contented heart. On the way to do that, it must be to implement Allah’s laws – to invite to good and to prevent evil. You must stand for justice and oppose oppression. Ask the right questions from the right people, understand the end goal and play a meaningful role in achieving this. It is good versus evil. On which side are you? Can you be focused and not be distracted by side-shows.

1.  Iran Nuclear

The latest strike on Iran by the Zionist state is an interesting development. Context is key but deception is overwhelming. The sparring before has had a follow up. When and how will Iran respond. While we touched on the developments and creation of the Arab states over the last century, a neighbouring nation needs some examination too. They are not Arab. These Persians, at some point, reverted to Islam until a couple of centuries ago when they became Shi’a (except for a few).

 

Who are the Shi’a? This is a brief introduction to them. It started as a political grouping favouring ‘Ali bin Abee Taalib (Allah be pleased with him) and the Ahlul Bayt as the rightful successors and claimants to the Caliphate upon the demise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It evolved over time to be rather distinct from what is commonly known as Sunni Islam. Of the Shi’a beliefs are that many of the companions apostatised after Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. These companions, starting with Abu Bakr and Umar and including Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ wives, and essentially Ayeshah (Allah be pleased with them) are to be cursed. They reject the hadith of the Ahlus Sunnah and have their own hadith. Hadith is a subject that have strict rules. If then they reject the majority of the companions, then from where do they get their hadith? There are twelve imams who are from Ahlul Bayt. There are different sects within Shiasm with the twelvers (those following the 12 Imams) being the dominant group. Another interesting point is that do not consider Masjid-ul-Aqsa as having any importance in Islam.

 

Then why are they at odds with the Zionist state? Why are they supporting the Palestinians? This brings us to an authentic hadith in Sahih Muslim where Prophet Muhammad said: “The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.” Early reports following the recent attack on Iran was that there was much help from inside Iran. Is this latest attack a false flag or is it an attempt to draw the whole region into this conflict? From October 7^th 2023, attempts have been made to draw Iran into this conflict. Has Iran rightly resisted the temptation or is the agenda a little bit more complex? Until Iran shows clear intent in causing real damage to Israel, their role will be considered as being complicit to the Zionist actions. However, it is a major concern if this does translate into a major regional war but it will mean the end of Israel. Are the Zionists that arrogant that they will risk annihilation? Let’s park that question for a moment.

The march to Palestine is happening. This is not to be taken lightly. Will they stop it and who is “they”?

Apostates or Sell-outs

Emotion has a role to play in everyday life. Most importantly, your action must always be to please Allah. Therefore, whatever decision and course of action you take, it must be based on the Shari’ah. The previous post gave a glimpse of at what point the Arab world took a turn which looks like a turn into the hands of colonialists. Have they freed themselves from this grip?  Either way, you think it is damning. The labels bandied about are anything but good. However, how much of it is emotion, how much is ignorance and how much is learned and informed?

 Syria and Iraq are two countries that have been beset by war and strife. It is easy to sideline them in the immediate discussion. They are, nevertheless, products of the Sykes-Picot Agreement. The west’s propaganda and disinformation machine has been continuing non-stop, ensuring that the Muslim ummah stay divided. They have divided us geographically, installing rulers aligned to their liking. They have meddled in our religious affairs, radicalising the beard and hijab. Muslims are confused largely due to ignorance and, mostly, have to take the blame themselves. A point that cannot be lost is that Muslims have adopted their system and their way of life which impacted negatively on true Islamic education and, consequently, firm belief. After all, acquiring knowledge is an act of worship which should bring you closer to Allah.

The Palestinian issue and that of Masjid-ul-Aqsa are burning points. All eyes are on the Arab leaders who seem unmoved by the current situation. This is not reason for making anyone apostate. Whatever the ruling is, though, it is beyond us, in our positions. You are not in those lands, and it is a matter that you cannot, therefore, fix except with prayer. The one time that you will make effort to get there is when the Mahdi comes. That now is only in the knowledge of Allah. You may wish to label the rulers with all sorts of names, but it must be understood in relation to history.  It does end with us looking for solutions. How ready are you to march to Palestine?  More than the immediate action that is necessary for those far away from the Holy Lands, is the mindset. Had the tables been turned, and understanding a bit of history, would you truly have made a different decision to the Arab leaders then.

 Be grateful for being Muslim and having eemaan (faith). Is not the role of the Muslim to invite to good and prevent the evil? Then, as a start you must live Islam. Break the shackles of a system bent on subjugating you and diluting your beliefs. With that in mind, your position, in reflecting upon yourself, is similar to the leaders of the Muslim and Arab world, i.e. to need to break free from the grip that others have over you. That grip which is hindering you from doing greater good and removing evil. In no way do I wish to free the Arab leaders from blame. Rather, the reality is that it is beyond our immediate control. Right now, our priority is marching to the Holy Land. Perhaps it is literal, perhaps it is figurative. Those who strive in Allah’s path, know that victory is near.

March to the Holy Land - Part 4

 

Arab Land

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ established the Islamic state in Medinah. After his passing, the baton of leadership was given to Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) as the first Caliph of the Muslims. The caliphate expanded far and wide during the reign of Umar ibn al-Khattab (Allah be pleased with him). He was followed by Uthman and then Ali (Allah be pleased with them). It was after this that the next caliph, Mu’awiyah appointed his son, Yazeed, to succeed him. This gave rise to the Umayyad dynasty. They were eventually ousted and replaced by the Abbasid dynasty. Alongside came the Fatimid dynasty, and, for a short while, the Mamluks. The Ottoman empire was the last to hold the caliphate which was abolished with their demise.

You may have your own view of the Ottoman Empire. The debate is not about the religiosity or the beliefs of the Ottomans. Unless you wish to declare them Non-Muslim, a heavy call, then that argument is different. However, they had the caliphate and that was enough for Muslims. It was the goal of the Western powers and the Czar-led Russia to destroy the Ottoman empire and more importantly, the Caliphate. Their meddling in the affairs of the Ottomans led to Sultan Abdul Hamid II to be deposed. While the Ottomans were already reeling from the constant barrage from these foreign powers, the final blow really was the deposing of Sultan Abdul Hamid. The few years it survived beyond him was largely just the last breathes of the empire. Two things happened then. The Ottomans made the mistake of entering World War I. Having already stirred the flames of rebellion in Arab lands, the Ottomans entering the war gave the British more reason to continue on this path and with greater vigour.

Read into it what you will, but your lineage means nothing by Allah, but rather it is your Allah-consciousness. One of the Arabs who rebelled was Sharif Hussein, a descendant of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Perhaps rebellion is one thing, but to enter into an alliance with the British and then kill your fellow Muslims, is quite another thing. This is how the Arab states effectively became colonies of the West. Sure, they have independence and sovereignty for all to see, but I will leave it to you to make sense of it, if only looking the current Middle Eastern situation. The few blanks to be filled in: The Sykes Picot agreement took precedence over any agreement that Hussein had with the British. Palestine was lost and placed under British rule for the establishment of a Zionist state. The British also had an arrangement with the Al-Saud family. The result, Sharif Hussein ended up in Trans-Jordan (now Jordan) where his son, Abdullah, was given temporary rule by the British. Sharif’s other son, Faizal, eventually became king of Iraq. Weird story that. Abdul-Aziz bin Saud took over the Hejaz and proclaimed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The bottom line is that the hand that fueled the flames that lead to the demise of the Ottoman Empire and the Caliphate, is very much still exerting influence in that region. Now, going back to the Balfour declaration and the Sykes-Picot agreement, where is the Arab agreement? With whom were these agreements and what exactly did/does it contain?

Humanitarian Aid

The flotilla was seized. Those aboard were arrested and taken to the occupied lands. Four were deported and the rest remains in prison. These prisoners are from other sovereign countries who should demand their release. After all, they were captured in international waters. Were things to be on a knife’s edge, you would think that someone might suffer a cut, but the knife may appear blunt. It, being a blunt object, can yet cause considerable damage. It may be that this will all disappear into the background without much fuss and bother.

The next issue on the agenda is the supposed impending conflict with Iran. Every effort is being made to take the focus off Gaza. Yet people are dying by bombing and gunfire. Now, as the situation become dire, starvation becomes the cause of death for many. Shall we not be reminded and then remind others too of the words of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when he said: ‘O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise with Salam.” – Sunan ibn Majah – Sahih. Feed others. Of course, there are people on our doorstep, and they must be fed. Are we not doing this sufficiently that our donations are not reaching the people of Palestine neither? In case you misunderstood, nothing happens except by the permission of Allāh. Sometimes, you look at the situation and you ask whether Allah is rejecting us. The people of Palestine are role models in patience and perseverance. Such are the people of Paradise. Our humanitarian aid is not merely shouting at others, but that we learn a few things. Repentance is the perfect starting point. To repent, you need to acknowledge your faults. Reflect, repent and perhaps through that Allāh will make us part of the solution and not merely onlookers. Learn sabr, learn patience.  Learn Quran and do not, in even an atom’s weight, make fun of it. Learn the sunnah. Understand history.

Allah tells us in Quran 2:214 that we will be tested. How much of a test are we undergoing now. How reliant and dependent are we on Allāh. Shall we not immerse ourselves in being solution oriented such that Allāh will answer us “indeed, the help of Allāh is near”. There is an enemy out there who is setting the scene for Ad-Dajjal, the Antichrist. That will be the most difficult time since the creation of man. Allah knows when this will happen. A hint though, is that this will happen when the world is filled with evil and corruption. Plant that one seed now and turn the tide on corruption and evil so that perhaps the advent of ad-dajjal is delayed. And with all this effort, may Allah at least grant that the humanitarian aid reaches the Palestinians in good order and safely.

Flotilla

The dire Palestinian situation has much to analyse. The solution is simple but implementing the solution has many obstacles. Organs of the United Nations and others have declared the situation a genocide. The most important issue right now, is saving lives. Aid in the form of food, water and medicinal supplies are crucial. Not nearly enough is done, and when it is done, the Palestinians get killed at that moment in time too. Along comes the flotilla.

As with all things, there are well-meaning people whose humanitarian hearts are in the right place, i.e. they do not see it as merely a religious war, but as a humanitarian catastrophe. However, there are also opportunity for “controlled opposition” to join the ranks and join the flotilla. Nothing is as it seems because those bent on deception, being well-schooled in deception, infiltrate those doing good. Taking a stand, while it is not popular, is impactful. Of course, it needs to be for good, for justice. And the flotilla is for a good cause. The current refrain is that “if they can do it while being non-Muslim, where are the Muslim rulers?”. That is a fair question. The answer is obvious and while it is obvious, there is a need for further analysis. At the same time there is a march across North Africa to Rafah. How this will pan out, will soon be known. However, the idea is good and this, from its impact, can be more meaningful. Good versus Evil can only have one winner. It is a matter of timing. In April 2024, the idea of a march onto the Holy Land was already raised. Palestine will be free.

The Balfour declaration, in 1917, decided that Palestine must become the homeland for the Jews. More than a century later, the displacement of the original people, the Palestinians, continues unabated. It is the land of the Palestinians, and it always has been. No doubt, they have every right to resist. However, the latest attempts to annihilate them have likely been more brutal than every before, In fact, even military experts cannot believe that they are able to resist after the large-scale bombs being dropped on them. What will be the outcome? Good will overpower evil. The question is “when?”. We will need to unpack this too. For now, know that there are both Muslim and Christian Palestinians. The solution must include all victims. There may be victims among Jews too. Before the Balfour declaration, Palestine was a land where Muslims, Christians and Jews live peacefully, side-by-side. Then Palestine was under Muslim rule.

We welcome the flotilla and those who strive for a good cause. We never over praise, nor get carried away by euphoria and influencers (in their many guises). Calm down, there is yet a job to be done. No, this keyboard warrior was not near the flotilla or the North African march. Each has a role to play. The question rebounds and it is about your role. You are looking at the Arab nations and their state of inertia. The one action you do is lifting a pointing finger at them. Their condition did not start now. A most heartfelt advice from our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is: “Even if the Resurrection were established upon one of you while he has in his hand a sapling, let him plant it.” Musnad Aḥmad 12902

  You ought to strive to the end, for Allah’s sake. So, even when things look like it is over and there is nothing you can do, plant that seed in your hand. In our situation, invite others to good and keep looking for solutions in which you can play a role. The least of it is prayer and an excellent time for prayer is in the middle of the night.
