End Game - part 8

 

Adding Context

The signs of the hour or end times is a lengthy discussion. The matter of ad-dajjal is but one of the ten major signs of the end of this world. However, it is important to the decree that there is much plotting and planning, by his minions, for his arrival. There are some questions that may not have been covered here and mostly, because this is but a few pages of information. There are books available on the matter.

The current conflict between Iran and Israel is necessary, especially from the Zionist viewpoint. Israel has been goading Iran from October 7^th 2023. Initially, I thought a “spark” from one of the misguided or intercepted missiles will be accidental if it landed in Arab lands. Perhaps, it may be intentional. The world is starting to tremble at the idea of an expanded war, but already America is preparing its allies for this expanded conflict. The hadith says that there will be a time when the Arabs will be few.

Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: The people would run away from the Dajjal seeking shelter in the mountains. She said: Where would be the Arabs then in that day? He said: They would be small in number. [Muslim]

Are they small in number now? Or will they literally be wiped out. This expanded war will have a devastating impact on the Arabs. Amongst other things, are they thinking about this hadith as a reason not to assist the Palestinians right now? Of course, peace is the better path, but there are people suffering already. The timeframe seems short. But it is mere speculation. The preparation for the antichrist is real, but we place our trust in Allah, because he knows best. The reality is that the world is on downward spiral. War is inevitable because the warmongers have been working non-stop. Their deception is clear for those who dare to see. They profess peace but feed the war machine no end. Now it is the turn for another gulf war. A war where the world will end up engulfed in flames.

The picture looks scarier by the day. For the layman, he must be informed. Iran will not overpower Israel. Their support structure will not allow it to happen. We have seen Iraq decimated under the false pretense that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (WMD). A similar story line is in the making. The question is whether the Arabs will be caught in this crossfire. And if they had to choose sides, then which one? But should they choose sides?

Ad-Dajjal – The Antichrist

Iblees is the one who refused to bow down to Adam (upon whom be peace) and is the eternally cursed. We commonly refer to him as shaytaan but he has hordes of helpers (shayateen). Iblees is from the Jinn but shayateen is not limited to jinn as certainly humans can fall under this category as well. Ad-dajjaal is a human and he will be specifically sent at the end of time while Iblees existed and was active from even before the time of Adam (upon whom be peace).

 

In a hasan hadith reported in Musnad Ahmad: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Verily, preceding the False Messiah will be years of deception, in which the truthful are belied, the liars are believed, the trustworthy are discredited, the treacherous are trusted, and the disgraceful speak.” It was said, “Who are the disgraceful?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Little wicked men who speak about the affairs of common people.”

 

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The flourishing of Jerusalem will mark the desertion of Yathrib (Madinah). The desertion of Yathrib will mark the start of al-malhamah (the great war that will start between Ar-Rum and the Muslim forces before Muslims conquer Constantinople for the second time). The start of al-malhamah will mark the conquering of Constantinople. The conquering of Constantinople will mark the appearance of Dajjal." - Sahih Al-Jami' as-Saghir

This hadith gives the time for the appearance of Dajjal – the antichrist. The significant event to give rise to other events and situations and eventually to the appearance of ad-Dajjal, is the malhama. While Christians may refer to this war as Armageddon, there are differences between the Muslim view and the Christian view. Suffice to understand, at this point, when dajjal will appear.

The period of dajjal will be the most difficult period in the history of mankind.

 Protection against Dajjal

The period of Dajjal will be a difficult and, indeed, defining period for those who live at that time. He will mislead many and already the signs are clear of the current deception confounding people. Many have gone astray and many more will. However, consider the scenario that those who survive this period, will then live through a period of peace. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us ways to protect against dajjal.

Daily prayer - The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Seek refuge with Allah from the torment of the Fire and the torment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of Al-Masihid-Dajjal." - Sunan An-Nasa'i [Grade: Sahih]

It is recommended to recite this is the last tashahhud (in the last sitting position in prayer) before the tasleem (the end) of prayer

 Surah Al-Kahf

In many narrations of hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to read and memorise Surah Kahf (the 18^th chapter of Quran). He advised to learn specifically either the first ten verses or the last ten verses. Surah Kahf is to be recited every Friday.

 Having watched all these sci-fi horror movies, or the fairy tales with dragons and demons, you may not quite absorb the severity of the situation. However, the concern should always be “in which state am I going to die and meet my Creator?”. This period in which we live is already a time of mass deception and that will only get worse with his appearance. People will lose their eemaan (faith) and die in that condition. You may have studied for examinations and immerse yourself in it to understand the material and get a good pass mark. This is the time, if you have not already immersed yourself in your worship of Allah so that He say love you which will be the best protection against dajjal. In gaining Allah’s love, you have to follow Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and of his teachings is that of seeking protection against dajjal.
