End Game - Part 7

More Mischief

Chapter 18 of Quran, i.e. Surah Al-Kahf is so important in the end times. Muslims are reading it as a protection against dajjal. There is another story in it regarding two tribes who were mischievous in a certain place. A pious and resourceful man was traveling when people approached him to protect them from the Gog and Magog. He did that and they were placed somewhere where they could not escape till about the time of dajjal.

The lengthy hadith from part 5 and 6 continues: “Then Gog and Magog will emerge and they will, as Allah describes, "swoop down from every mound."[21:96] The first of them will pass by lake Tiberias and drink from it, then the last of them will pass by it and will say: "There was water here once." The Prophet of Allah, 'Eesa and his companions will be besieged there until the head of an ox would be dearer to any one of them than one hundred Dinar are to any one of you today. Then, the Prophet of Allah, 'Eesa and his companions will supplicate Allah. Then Allah will send a worm in their necks and the next morning they will all die as one. The Prophet of Allah 'Eesa and his companions will come down and they will not find even the space of a hand span that is free of their stink, stench and blood. They will pray to Allah, and He will send birds with necks like the necks of Bactrian camels, which will pick them up and throw them wherever Allah wills. Then Allah will send rain which will not leave any house of clay or hair, and it will wash the earth until it leaves it like a mirror (or a smooth rock)….”

This is the chronology, and this is what the scholars agree on. The hadith is clear. Whoever believes that Gog and Magog have already been released from their captivity speaks without proof and places their intellect above the words of Prophet Muhammad . This though is now the end of real trouble. Eesa-bin-Maryam (Upon whom be peace) will explain to the people the truth concerning himself as being a mere mortal, a Prophet and he will reject the crucifixion. Those who still alive at that time would have withstood a tremendous amount of hardship. They will accept the explanation from Eesa-bin-Maryam and be Muslim. The world will end soon after. There is still a little bit of detail on that, but for now we focus on dajjal. We ask the question: Is the world ready for dajjal, not in an expectant way except for his minions, but have these minions complete their task already?

The line in the sand - Part 3

One of the features of modern society is good careers with good remuneration. This is followed by acquiring a house and a car on debt. How much of obedience to Allah and His messenger  is in this or is there a greater chance of disobedience? No judgement rather let’s reflect, and where needed, change for the good.

In previous posts, we highlighted the dangers of banks and their control over society. Much of this is deeply rooted in the system that evolved rapidly over the last century and a bit. Within that system is something called education which needs a moment on which to reflect. We pay tribute to teachers because, in essence, it is a noble profession. However, there are certain subjects and/or topics within subjects which need attention and serious attention. You dismiss it at your own peril and likely too that of your children and grandchildren and generations to come. Darwinism? What is that? Why do the children learn this? Sexual education with all its tentacles? Then the seemingly innocent subject called “economics”. What really is this about? And what impact does economics have on politics, on society and the environment? Remember, in previous posts, you were encouraged to join the dots and see how things fit together. Let us use a methodology. Let’s say you take dajjal (antichrist) as a reference point as to the worst the world can be at any time. Then look at the evils that dajjal and his followers will perpetrate. If then, you track back to where we are now, then it seems pretty close, doesn’t it? Of course, Allah knows best. You can almost want to excuse, but you cannot, that other “scholar” for claiming that Gog and Magog have been released. Alas, they were not yet released upon the world. Now what part of the world will play a big role at the time of Dajjal and just before then? Have you heard of the malhama? (A subject for another day). Nevertheless, the Middle East is certainly a place of interest and more precisely, Palestine. We may say Bilad-ash-Shaam because that will cover the whole area from Syria to Palestine.

What is currently happening in Palestine? Who runs big pharma? Which companies are you inclined to boycott? Have you heard of the World Economic Forum (WEF) – who and what are they? Who was heading it until a few days ago? And who is heading it now? And who said: “Water is not a right”. Ladies and gentlemen – are you into joining the dots?

Ego

The ego trip, a brief journey that can feel like an eternity, leads nowhere but to one's own self-importance. If you find yourself offended when corrected, it is a clear sign of ego at play.

Genuine discussions, where learning thrives, are rare. Rather than seeking truth, many strive to be right and have others validate their views. The question often arises: why are some brilliant minds not adherents of Islam? The answer lies in their pride, ego, and closed hearts that resist accepting the truth.

A major hurdle within the ummah (Muslim community) is the matter of aqeedah, or belief system. Aqeedah encompasses the correct beliefs held by Muslims and was a central focus of Prophet Muhammad's teachings. Many claim to follow the Quran and Sunnah yet introduce unauthorised elements, while others draw guidance from questionable sources.

Prophet Muhammad's approach was straightforward and uncomplicated. Those who reject him or his hadith cannot be considered Muslims, and those who malign his character risk the consequences. Some individuals defend their positions out of ego, despite knowing the truth. The noble conduct of our pious predecessors involved humility in admitting when they lacked knowledge saying “I don’t know” often, contrasting with those who assert knowledge, without merit, as if divine revelation.

The issue of ego extends beyond religious leaders to all individuals. It may involve questioning the credibility of knowledge in relation to the Quran and Sunnah. Maintaining a teachable spirit, even if wisdom comes from an unexpected source, is crucial. However, reliance on consistently erroneous guides driven by ego is unwise. Continuous learning and study are paramount. While respecting teachers, idolising them should be avoided as they are fallible. Quran and Sunnah serve as the primary sources of knowledge, and any information contradicting them is deemed unacceptable.

Reflecting upon Iblees' refusal to bow to Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, prompts further contemplation on the influence of ego and the importance of humility in seeking knowledge.
